Orozco Contemporáneo Cultural Art Center

Meet the Founder and Director:

Orozco is a Cuban dancer, choreographer, cultural manager, and academic from Matanzas. Trained at a top Cuban art school, she mastered classical ballet, modern, contemporary dance, and folklore, with a strong focus on Cuban cultural identity and transculturality. A former prima ballerina of Contemporary Dance of Cuba and top-level maître, she specializes in contemporary dance exploring ritual, movement, and social themes. She teaches at the University of Havana in dance, choreography, and cultural history, and is an active member of the Asociación Hermanos Saíz.
